Suzie the Yorkie Puppy
Susie A devoted Yorkie, was rescued from an abusive situation. Susie was suffering from a frequent vomiting problem and was tested blood tests done, which came back normal.
Donna had suffered an incredibly violent Pitt Bull attack herself and, after healing physically, she adopted Susie. Through their non-profit organization Susie's Hope, the two work together to educate and campaign for more severe punishments for animal abusers.
She's a little Spitfire
Susie is a sweet little girl who desires nothing more than to be loved. She is timid, but she has a bossy streak and likes to get everyone to do what she demands. She gets along well with her foster brother Romeo and is starting to get to know her foster sister Tedd. She is getting more comfortable with her surroundings and even enjoys being outside.
It is a sad reality that a lot of dogs aren't treated with the compassion and respect they deserve. This is particularly true for the smaller breeds, like Yorkies. Small dogs are often overlooked by children who run out of the door, or forget about closing a screen door. This can result in serious injuries or even death to these tiny creatures.

She's a sweetheart

Her favorite food is chicken. She's a bit picky when it comes to her food, but she does not mind if her mom gives her a piece of bacon every now and then. She is a sucker for chewing her toes and fingers. She's learning that it's not ok to do this.
Susie's mom was worried when she began vomiting a lot. Her vet was able to provide her some medication and she returned to normal. She's now a healthy and active girl.
